Suzy is passionate about music and photography, and has been able to express herself through a combination of both art forms.
In her early years, she involved herself only in photographic projects for known recording artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joan Jett, Blondie, and Luciano Pavarotti. Now, she prefers to mentor independent artists who need exposure by creating innovative portfolios for them using a myriad of lenses and uncommon angles.
While in Miami, Suzy had the pleasure of living next door to renowned National Geographic French photographer, Michel Verdure, who accompanied the late Jacques Cousteau on some of his expeditions. He influenced her approach to photographing the natural world including plants and animals on land and in water, landscapes in the Caribbean, Mexico, Cuba, and the Rocky Mountains, and cityscapes in New York and Miami. Currently, she has an interest in the Adirondack Region, which offers a variety of outdoor, historic, and scenic experiences.
Since Suzy has moved back to her Upstate roots, she has been intrigued by the northern region’s architecture, especially with regards to historical landmarks and buildings. Utica, in particular, is a mosaic of nationalities, cultures, and ethnicities which makes for a photographer’s paradise.
